ZAMFARA GOV LAWAL DEFECTS FROM PDP TO APC

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) after wide consultations with political stakeholders in the state.
The decision was announced by Deputy Governor Mani Mummuni, who said the move followed growing internal crisis within the PDP and the need to align with the ruling party to tackle security and development challenges in Zamfara.
He added that stakeholders supported the defection in the interest of unity, stability and progress for the state.
