ZULUM CONDEMNS MAIDUGURI MOSQUE BLAST, URGES CALM AND VIGILANCE

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has strongly condemned the explosion at a mosque in the Gamboru Market area of Maiduguri, describing the attack as barbaric and inhumane.

The blast, suspected to be a suicide attack, occurred during Maghrib prayers, killing and injuring worshippers.

Zulum expressed condolences to the victims’ families and prayed for the quick recovery of the injured. He urged residents to remain calm and stay vigilant in places of worship and other public areas while security agencies investigate the incident.
