ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has met with fellow party member Hayatu-Deen in Lagos as part of ongoing efforts to reconcile aggrieved stakeholders following the party’s presidential primary.
The closed-door meeting comes days after the primary election, which saw Atiku emerge as the party’s flag bearer for the 2027 presidential election.
Hayatu-Deen had rejected the process and withdrew before the official declaration of results, citing alleged irregularities. Another aspirant, Rotimi Amaechi, also disputed the outcome.
Since securing the ticket, Atiku has intensified consultations aimed at fostering unity within the party ahead of the 2027 general election.
