MARK QUESTIONS COURT ORDER ON ADC DEREGISTRATION

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, has raised concerns over the Federal High Court order directing the deregistration of the ADC and four other political parties.

Speaking at the party’s Strategic Communications Retreat in Abuja, Mark argued that recent judicial actions surrounding the case have placed the judiciary under public scrutiny.

He questioned the handling of the matter and called on relevant judicial authorities to address issues arising from the ruling.
Mark also urged ADC members to remain steadfast, insisting that the party would continue to pursue lawful means to challenge the decision.

The Federal High Court had ordered the deregistration of the ADC and four other political parties, a move that has generated reactions from political stakeholders and observers.
