APC ACCUSES ATIKU, ADC OF PLOTTING TO DISCREDIT KADUNA CAMPAIGN RALLY

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has accused former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) of allegedly planning to discredit its presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna.

The allegation was contained in a statement issued by the council’s spokesperson, Dele Alake, who claimed that the opposition planned to spread misinformation through fake news, AI-generated content, deepfake videos and forged documents ahead of the rally scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026.

Alake also dismissed a purported letter claiming that the Kaduna State Government released ₦2.3 trillion to host the event, describing the document and the allegation as false.

He urged Nigerians to verify information before sharing it on social media, warning that misinformation could mislead the public during the campaign period.
