President Bola Tinubu has expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for granting him and members of his delegation access to pray inside the Holy Ka’abah in Makkah.
Tinubu described the opportunity as a rare spiritual privilege, saying he prayed for wisdom and resilience to continue serving Nigerians.
The President made this known while reflecting on his Umrah pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, where he was led into the Ka’abah by Sheikh Dahlulah Muthawal of Masjid al-Haram.
He said the experience had strengthened his commitment to building a prosperous Nigeria, investing in young people and pursuing policies that promote national development.
Tinubu also noted that power and authority come from Almighty Allah and should be exercised responsibly and in the service of the people.
On the economy, the President expressed optimism about the country’s progress, describing its economic foundation as solid. He, however, stressed the need for continued investment in the future of young Nigerians.
The President was accompanied on the pilgrimage by government officials, state governors and business leaders, who also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to pray inside the Ka’abah.
