FRSC EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER NON ADHERENCE TO TRAFFIC RULES BY COMMERCIAL DRIVERS IN THE FCT                                                                                          05-11-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC has expressed concern over non adherence to traffic rules by commercial drivers in the Federal Capital Territory.

FCT Sector commander, Muta’a Chorie who stated this while addressing news men in Abuja on measures put in place to ensure accident Free Ember Months said despite daily campaigns and sensitization at the motor parks commercial drivers still engage in overloading.

Mr Chorie, while calling on Commuters to join FRSC’s campaign against the menace, maintained that Road Safety is a shared responsibility.

The FCT Sector commander noted that the Corps has increased its visibility on the roads with adequate deployment of logistics to curtail the excesses of motorists in the Six area councils during the festive period.

He appealed to transport union Leaders and other road users to change their attitude towards making roads safer for socio-economic growth in the territory.
