APC GOVERNORS PUSH FOR TECH-DRIVEN SECURITY AS INSECURITY RISES

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

APC governors are calling for stronger intelligence, advanced technology, and better security infrastructure to tackle growing insecurity across Nigeria. The push follows their meeting in Lagos, where they also engaged President Bola Tinubu on security, economic recovery, and national development.

The governors backed ongoing reforms and stressed the need for closer coordination between federal and state governments, warning that lasting peace depends not just on force, but on trust, youth opportunities, and stronger institutions.

They also highlighted the urgency of turning economic reforms into real improvements in jobs, food affordability, and living standards, while noting that global tensions could worsen inflation.
