The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned popular social media influencer and relationship therapist, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, before a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, over an alleged ₦36 million fraud.
Blessing CEO was arraigned before Justice Deinde Dipeolu on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and alleged stealing linked to a property transaction in Lekki, Lagos.
During the court proceedings, counsel to the defendant informed the court that his client had refunded ₦24 million to the complainant and requested a short adjournment to allow discussions on settling the outstanding balance.
Counsel to the EFCC, however, opposed the request, insisting that the matter should proceed since the Federal Government was the complainant in the case.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against her.
Justice Dipeolu subsequently ordered that Blessing CEO be remanded in EFCC custody pending the hearing of her bail application and adjourned the matter till June 5, 2026, for commencement of trial.
