Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have arrested a suspected terrorist kingpin, an ammunition courier and a logistics supplier during separate operations in Kaduna State.
The operations, conducted on September 9, 2026, covered Kubau, Igabi and Birnin Gwari Local Government Areas, according to the task force’s Media Information Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja.
Danja said troops raided a suspected terrorist hideout at Dabar Dabo in Kubau, where they arrested a suspected kingpin and two members of his criminal group.
In Igabi, troops also intercepted a 50-year-old woman allegedly carrying 300 rounds of live ammunition concealed in a bag. Preliminary investigations indicated that she had travelled from Zamfara to Lafia to collect the ammunition for delivery to armed groups operating in Birnin Gwari.
Troops working with local vigilantes later arrested a suspected terrorist logistics supplier in Birnin Gwari. Four communication devices were recovered from the suspect.
The task force commended residents for providing useful intelligence and urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies.
The suspects and recovered items are in military custody as investigations continue.
