By Sadiq Aminu                                                     The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar the Third has urged Nigerian citizens to always voice out when the leaders are doing wrong things.
He made the call in Abuja at the Centenary Celebration of a Faith based organisation known as Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria
The Sultan while emphasizing on the importance of citizens’ prayers and supports for their leaders to succeed urged the citizens not to remain silent when things are wrong
“Don’t leave your leaders alone, always talk to our leaders to do the right thing, when you see things are going wrong let’s talk, let us not keep quiet”
According to the National Missioner Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Shiekh Abdulrahman Ahmad, Islam as a religion has contributed immensely to the development and the unity of the country.
The President Christian Association of Nigeria, Most Reverend Daniel Okoh, represented by Dr. Princewill Ireoba, said the last one hundred years of it’s existence, the Ansaruddeen Society had succeeded in the promotion of religious values and Community Development which shaped socio-economic development in the country.
The event which marked the 100 years of existence of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, brought together government and religious personalities within and outside the country.
