…….says they didn’t represent interest of Yoruba.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has described Yoruba agitators who invaded the Oyo State Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan over the weekend as jokers and attention seekers who should be treated as criminals.

Oba Ogunwusi stated this when the President of Yoruba Council Worldwide, Aare Hassan Oladotun led Committee members of the 6th World Omoluabi Festival & Awards to pay a courtesy visit to the traditional ruler in Lagos ahead of World Omoluabi Day which is slated for 28th of this month and first of next month.

Oba Ogunwusi said the action of the Yoruba agitators did not speak or represent the interest of the Yoruba people but their selfish interest.

Ooni of Ife said that as a leading traditional ruler in Yoruba land, he would continue to champion advocacy campaigns to uphold the need for a united Nigeria in order to achieve greatness.

The traditional ruler used the occasion to urge the government to continue to engage with relevant stakeholders in its programmes aimed at preferring solutions to the challenges facing the nation.

Oba Ogunwusi called on Nigerians to support the efforts of President Bola Tinubu to make the country better.

Oba Ogunwusi who said the celebration of Omoluabi is one of the efforts aimed at promoting the culture and traditions of Yoruba people, said that Omoluabi Day is the biggest socio-cultural event poised at celebrating and promoting cultural values, norms and traditions of Yoruba people

In a remark, the President of Yoruba Council Worldwide, Aare Hassan Oladotun said the courtesy visit was targeted at seeking royal blessings and having a strategic meeting on the socio-cultural event” Omoluabi Day” targeted at promoting and showcase Yoruba cultural heritage aesthetic arts such as dancing, music, ewi and traditional feativals.

He said the Omoluabi Day is part of proactive measure to correct some negative narratives in the country.

Mr Hassan who also lent his voice to condemn the activities of Yoruba Agitators who invaded the Oyo State Secretariat, were on drug and they didn’t not represent Yoruba race.
