KWARA COURT FREES TWO WOMEN, INCLUDING PREGNANT MOTHER

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

A Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin has discharged and acquitted two women, including a pregnant mother, of all criminal charges.

Justice M. Folorunso ruled that the prosecution failed to prove its case against Aisha Haruna and Rabi Umar Murtala, who were accused of possessing firearms and aiding kidnapping.

The court found the police evidence inconsistent and lacking proof of any illegal act, leading to the women’s freedom.
