RECONSTRUCTION OF MINNA-TEGINA AND TEGINA-KONTAGORA ROADS ON COURSE-SAYS NIGER GOV.

Niger State Government has assured of timely completion of Minna-Tegina,and Tegina -Kontagora road awarded by the immediate past administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The State Governor,Rt.Hon.Mohammed Umar Bago made the promised when he paid Sallah homage on the Emir of Kontagora, Muhammad Barau Mu’azu II at his Palace in Kontagora.

Governor Umaru Bago who noted that the two contracts were awarded at different times, emphasised that the contracts are on course and that his government will put them on their toes until the projects are completed to ease the movement of goods and services.

The Governor had called on the people of the Emirate to rally round his administration to achieve the desired objectives for the benefit of all.

Earlier,the Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora, Muhammad Barau Mu’azu, expressed his appreciation to the Governor for the visit, and for showing commitment to collaborate with traditional rulers with a view to providing good governance.

The monarch prayed for the success of Umaru Bago-led administration and conferred on him the traditional title of Gamjin Kontagora.

Governor Umaru Bago later visited the cemetery of late Emirs of Kontagora Kingdom where he prayed for the repose of their souls.
