HEALTH CARE: KWSG EXPENDS OVER N200M ON HEALTH CARE 07/09/2023
By: Sadiq Aminu Over two hundred million naira has been expended in the health sector as counterpart funding by Kwara state government to enable the residents access quality health care services across the state.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazq made the disclosure while speaking at the Inauguration of a Clinic renovated by the State Insurance Agency ,at the School for Special Needs, Apata Yakuba in Ilorin,
Represented by the state Commisssioner for health,Dr,Amina Ahmed El-Imam, governor AbdulRazq said the state government is concerned on how the indigent people can access health care without any hitch.
AbdulRazq explained that the state government will continue to place priority on the upgrade of infrastructures in the health sector .
He noted that all the students at the school for special needs would be enrolled into the state health insurance to access health care free.
In his address, Kwara state zonal Coordinator ,National Health Insurance Authority,Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi said the essence of health insurance is to take care of the health need of the citizens.
In his speech the Chairman Kwara state House of Assembly committee on Health and Environment,Razaq Owolabi advised the residents of the state to take advantage of the health care services provided by the state government.END
