BOAT ACCIDENT: GOVERNOR UMAR BAGO COMMISERATES WITH PEOPLE OF  BORGU AND KEBBI STATE                                                                              04-10-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                        The Niger State Government has sympathized with Borgu Emirate especially the people of Agwara local government area over the boat mishap that claimed some lives both from Niger and Kebbi State .

Governor Mohammed Umar Bago stated this in a statement in Minna.

The statement which describes the incident as unfortunate and heartbreaking also sympathizes with the Kebbi State Government over the loss of its citizens in the same boat mishap.

It urges families of the victims to take heart and prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed.

A boat conveying over 20 traders, heading for Yauri fish market Kebbi state from Kasabo, Agwara local government of Niger State was reported to have capsized.

So far, six dead bodies have been recovered out of which four are from Niger State, two from Kebbi State while search for the remaining bodies is ongoing.
