GOVERNOR YUSUF TO PRESENT 2024 BUDGET ON FRIDAY TO KANO STATE ASSEMBLY 26-10-23
By Sadiq Aminu The executive governor of Kano state, Alhaji Abba Kabiri Yusuf is to present the 2024 proposed appropriation bill, to Kano state house of assembly (KNHA),on Friday 27th October 2024.
This was sequel to a letter from the executive,informing Kano state house of assembly (KNHA), of the proposed budget presentation.
Reading the letter,the speaker Kano state house of assembly,Alhaji Ismail Jibril Falgore pointed out that, the budget presentation was in line with constitutional provisions of the federal republic of Nigeria as amended.
The majority leader Lawan Hussaini Dala, urged the lawmakers to adopt the resolution, that would pave way for the executive governor to present the 2024 appropriation bill, for the development of the state.
After careful deliberations, the house adopted a resolution and set Friday 27th October, as the date for the presentation of the proposed budget estimate.
In another development, the house has received a correspondence from the assembly service commission, on the nomination of the head of administration Kano state house of assembly, Alhaji Nasiru Magaji, as acting deputy clerk and permanent secretary Kano state house of assembly.
Reading the letter,the speaker Alhaji Isma’il Jibril Falgore pointed out that, the nomination is in line with constitutional provisions, that paves way for the appointment of the acting deputy clerk.
The house adopted and confirmed the appointment, of the acting deputy clerk, and permanent secretary Kano state house of assembly,Alhaji Nasiru Magaji.
The house adjourned it’s sitting to Friday 27th October 2023, in a motion moved by the majority leader Lawan Hussaini Dala.
