BAUCHI SEC APPROVES ABOUT N300BN 2024 BUDGET                                                                                                       29-11-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                   Bauchi State Executive Council has approved the medium term expenditure of about three hundred billion naira for the 2024 physical year.

The Council presided Governor Bala Mohammed approved the budget after extensive deliberation on a memo presented by the State Ministry of Budget, Economic and Multilateral Coordination regard the budget estimate.

Briefing journalists on the council’s deliberations, Commissioner of the Ministry Aminu Hammayo said the budget prioritizes capital expenditure with fifty eight point eight percent while recurrent expenditure represents forty one point two percent from the total budget.

According to him town hall meetings have been conducted across the three senatorial zones while Ministries, Departments and Agencies were asked to submit their proposal for incorporation into the budget.

Meanwhile, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State is to present the 2024 budget estimate before the State House of Assembly tomorrow.
