ARMY TROOPS NEUTRALISE BANDITS, RECOVER ARMS, AMMUNITION IN KADUNA STATE                                                                                                   20-12-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                    Troops of 1 Division of the Nigerian Army Kaduna have neutralised a bandit following an ambush at Sabon Birni in Igabi Local Government Area.

In a statement by Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations 1 Division Kaduna, Lt Colonel Musa Yahaya says in another sting operation along Dende-Buruku road in Chikun Local Government Area on the 15th of December, troops also ambushed some bandits.

During the operation, several bandits escaped with gunshot wounds, while troops recovered one AK-47 rifle and one AK-47 rifle magazine loaded with quantity four of 7.62mm(special) ammunition.

Similarly, one baofeng radio and two techno phones were also recovered.

The General Officer Commanding 1 Division and Force Commander Operation Whirl Punch, Major General Valentine Okoro has commended troops for their resilience and urged them to continue denying bandits, terrorists and all criminal element freedom of action.
