KANO GUBER: SUPREME COURT VERDICT REDEEMED IMAGE OF JUDICIARY- GOV. YUSUF                                                                                   15-01-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                        The Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano Says the Supreme Court verdict that reversed his sack has redeemed the image of the judiciary.

The Governor made this known while addressing mammoth crowd that trooped out enmasse to welcome him back to the state after the Supreme Court judgment.

Governor Yusuf commended the justices for toing the path of truth and delivering a just and fair judgment which saved the state from “unforeseen circumstances.”

He said some persons were hellbent on stealing the hard-earned mandate of people of the state under the guise that they belong to the ruling party, All Progressives Congress as the President, Bola Tinubu.

“We thank the Judges for the judgment because if not for the fair judgment they delivered we wouldn’t have known what would have happened. The verdict has redeemed their image.

“The persons were hellbent on snatching or stealing our mandate and the reason was because they felt the President, his Vice and others were from APC. Unfortunately, the President refused to interfere.

“With this action, Kano people said
Thank you Mr. President for saving Democracy in Kano. This is a message from the good people of Kano.

“I am overwhelmed by the mammoth crowd who voluntarily trooped out enmasse to receive us and journeyed for eight hours on the road to get to this venue.

“We will not let you down. Our doors are open. We will deliver on the dividend on democracy in the areas of education, health, empowerment among others.”

Earlier, the Deputy Governor, Mr Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo said the administration will end thuggery, drug abuse, phone snatching and better the lives of the citizenry.

The Governor who had drove into Kano by road from Kaduna spent about 8 hours from Chiromawa where he was received by an unprecedented crowd to get to Filin Mahaha in Kofar Na’isa where he addressed the patiently waiting party supporters.
