KHETFUND SUPPORTS KANO STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH WITH N4 MILLION                                                                                                             15-01-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                     The Kano State Health Trust Fund (KHETFUND), has extended its intervention to the College of Health Sciences and Technology, with over #4 million naira to purchase office equipments.

This was contained in a statement, signed by the information officer Kano state ministry for Health, Ibrahim Abdullahi and made available to Africa 247 in Kano.

According to the statement, the college requested support from KHETFUND, to equip offices for the smooth running of its daily activities,where the agency disbursed N4,497,900,as approved by Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf.

While leading a supervision team, the executive Secretary KHETFUND, Dr. Fatima Usman Zahradeen, charged management of the College, to make sure the equipments procured,are utilised according to the purpose they are meant for.

She pointed out that, KHETFUND was established to provide financial support to health facilities, and health education institutions, on meaningful projects and programmes, for the betterment of lives of the people of the state.

Dr. Fatima commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his passion in uplifting standard of healthcare system, as well as the commissioner of Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, for his professional guidance to the fund.

The Deputy Provost of the College, Comrade Garba Haruna Abubakar, thanked the Executive Secretary and her management team for their tireless efforts in ensuring timely release of funds.

He maintained that, the equipments would go a long way in providing conducive learning and administrative atmosphere, to students and staff of the college, for effective service delivery.

Africa 247 reports that, items procured include laptops, desktop computers, generator, printers, file cabinets and power stabilizers.
