KEBBI STATE RE-RUN, BYE-ELECTIONS IS PEACEFUL, RECORDED MASS TURNOUT 03-02-24
By Sadiq Aminu The Bye-election conducted in Yauri/Shanga/Ngaski federal constituency and Re-run election in Arewa/Dandi federal constituency have recorded mass turnout of voters at the polling units.
The election was peaceful under serious watch by security agencies.
Yauri/Shanga/Ngaski bye-election election was conducted following the appointment of the representative as a Minister in the federal executive while the Re-run election was odered by the Appeal court ruling that election should be conducted in 25 polling units of 12 wards in the two local government areas of the state.
Speaking to newsmen on the election, Member representing Dandi constituency in the state House of Assembly, expressed satisfaction with the massive turnout of voters in the affected wards and polling units and the peaceful conduct of the election.
He commended the electorates for coming out early to exercise their right and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for early supply of election materials to the polling units.
The Chairman, All Progressives Congress APC, Dandi local government areas, Alhaji Lawali Maigari Kyangakwai, expressed satisfaction with the massive turn out of voters both men and women and as well the peaceful conduct of the election in the affected wards.
He assured of his party victory as the people of the local government area are dominantly APC faithfuls saying the APC candidate was a former Council Chairman and brought alot of developmental projects to the area.
