By Sadiq Aminu                                                    The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Abbas Tajudeen, has empowered some of his constituents in Zaria Federal Constituency with tractors for farming, tricycles and motorcycles.

The Speaker also provided full sponsorship for 46 people from the constituency to perform the lesser Hajj.
Dr Tajudeen represented at the event by his Deputy Chief of Staff on Administration, Jamil Ahmad Muhammad, said there are many ongoing projects in the constituency facilitated by him.

At the event, held in Zaria, a total of eight tractors with complete implements such as tipping bodies, harrows, ploughs and ridgers were distributed to beneficiaries.
Also, a total of 79 tricycles popularly known as Keke NAPEP and 50 motorcycles were distributed to selected constituents.
According to the Speaker the gesture is aimed at empowering his constituents to be self-reliant.

He said while the tractors are expected to boost farming activities in Zaria, the tricycles and the motorcycles would enhance intra-city transportation in the Federal Constituency.
He also explained that a campus each for the School of Nursing, Kafanchan and the State College of Education, Gidan Waya, would be established in Zaria to ease the difficulties young people from Zaria go through by traveling all the way to Kafanchan in their quest for knowledge.
