PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT BEST FOR NIGERIA- AMINU DANTATA                                                                                                 15-02-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       The Parliamentary system of Government has been described as the best system that will move the Nation to the greater height.

An elder stateman and a business mogul Alhaji Aminu Dantata disclosed this while receiving 60 members of the 10th National Assembly who sponsored a bill of adopting Parliamentary system of Government in Nigeria, under the leadership of the minority leader of the House Mr Kingsley Chinda who visit him at his house in Kano.

He noted that the adoption of the Parliamentary system of Government would play a vital role in reducing cost of governance .

The Elderstateman said Nigeria, has suffered enough in the Presidential system, saying nothing seems working, hence the urgent needs to adopt the Parliamentary system.

Dantata, warned the legislators seeking for the adoption of the Parliamentary System, to be wary of personal interests because doing that would kill the spirit of the mission and make it rejected.

Earlier, the Minority leader of House of Representative, Kingsley Chinda,said the aim of visiting Alhaji Aminu Dantata was to tap from his knowledge, having being a former member of parliamentary system.

He said they have sponsored 3 bills so far ,among which includes migration from Presidential system of Government to Parliamentary System, which is currently before the federal house of representives.

Kingsley Chinda said the Parliamentary System allowed true system of democracy to fully comes to fruition and also gives grassroots People’s coming on board to the states of Power’s

Chinda, urged Nigerians and the media particularly to support the moves because Nigeria and Nigerians would at the end be the great beneficiaries, adding that the Nation cannot continue to be robbed of it’s wealth under the guise of governments.
