PRESIDENT TINUBU APPROVES APPOINTMENT OF BOARD CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS UNDER FMHSW 15-02-24
By Sadiq Aminu President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment and re-appointment of Board Chairpersons and Chief Executive Officers under the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
Accordingly, National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has Dr. Mansur Kabir, as Chairperson of its Board, and Professor Moji Adeyeye, remains the Chief Executive Officer.
The National Blood Service Commission, NBSC, has Professor Abba Zubairu as Board Chairperson and Dr. Saleh Yuguda, as Chief Executive Officer.
The Board of Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, MDCN, will be chaired by Professor Afolabi Lesi, while Dr. Fatima Kyari serves as Chief Executive Officer.
Wasilat Giwa is now the Chairperson of the Board of Pharmacy Council of Nigeria, PCN, while Ibrahim Ahmad serves as Chief Executive Officer.
Others are Dr. Babajide Salako, serving as Board Chairman of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria, MLSCN, and Dr. Tosan Erhabor, to serve as Chief Executive Officer.
Professor Adamu Bakari is now the Chief Medical Director/CEO of Moddibo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola, MAUTH.
Professor Reuben Eifediyi serves as the Chief Medical Director/CEO of Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, Irrua, ISTH.
Similarly, the President has approved the appointment of Dr. Olajide Idris as Director-General/CEO of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, to assume office on the 19th of this month. 2024.
A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, says the President expects the appointees to raise the standards of healthcare service delivery to enhance aggregate national quality of life and productivity.
