DENNIS IDAHOSA EMERGES WINNER OF EDO STATE APC GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARY ELECTION                                                                                              17-02-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       Mr Dennis Idahosa, member representing Ovia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives has been declared winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for Edo 2024 governorship election.

Senator Hope Uzodinma, Chairman of the Edo Governorship Primary Election Committee announced Mr Idahosa winner of the primary election at Protea Hotel in Benin City, the Edo State Capital.

He said the lawmaker polled forty thousand, four hundred and fifty-three votes to defeat other contestants in the primary election.

After the declaration, Senator Uzodinma called for a motion to affirm the result of the election in line with the party’s guidelines.

Consequently, the result was adopted by the delegates at the venue as a true reflection of what transpired in the field.

Mr Idahosa was first elected to represent Ovia Federal Constituency in 2019 and was reelected in 2023 general election to continue to represent the Constituency.
