FORMER HEAD OF STATE APPEALS TO  NIGERIANS TO GIVE TINUBU REGIME THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT                                                                            21-02-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      Former Head of State, retired Major General Yakubu Gowon, has called on Nigerians to give the Tinubu Administration the benefit of the doubt as he thrives to fix the problems being faced.

General Gowon explained that while leaders were focused on rebuilding their countries, difficult hurdles to cross were being placed before them to prevent them from achieving success.

He acknowledged that Nigerians were undergoing unprecedented hardship, and advised President Tinubu to find alternative ways of perceiving their impulse and acting on them appropriately.

General Gowon advised President Tinubu to be patient with the negative utterances being peddled, and stay focused, but flexible at correcting mistakes.

The former Head of State, who met with President Tinubu in Abuja, said they discussed emerging problems threatening the existence of ECOWAS to find ways of solving them.
