VICE PRESIDENT SAYS SAYS THIS ADMINISTRATION’S REFORMS AIMED AT FORTIFYING NIGERIA’S ECONOMY                                                                    04-02-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                        Vice President Kashim Shettima has said that President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s reforms were aimed at fortifying Nigeria’s economy for growth and for future benefit of all citizens.

He stated this in Gombe while launching the Outsource to Nigeria Initiative (OTNI) in the state.

He described Tinubu as a refined economic strategist who understood the balance between Nigeria’s present circumstances and the trajectory of the global landscape.

According to him, the present administration’s decisions though difficult, are being taken in the best interest of Nigeria’s economic prosperity.

Vice President Kashim Shettima stated that the challenges being experienced as a result of the reforms were short-termed.

Speaking on the Outsource to Nigeria Initiative, the VP said the initiative symbolised a pivotal collaborative between the public and private sectors.

He said the partnership was aimed at creating millions of job opportunities and propel Nigeria’s Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and IT-enabled services sector into unprecedented growth.

In his speech, Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state said since 2019 his administration has developed and implemented a business- friendly reforms in order to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive thereby fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innnovation.

He said the decision to launch the Outsource to Nigeria Initiative was a testament to the state’s growing potentials and it’s effort at fostering enabling environment for technology innovation and economic growth.

He said the improvement of infrastructure and promoting digital literacy has positioned the state as a beacon of opportunity and innovation in Nigeria thereby attracting both domestic and international attention.
