JIBWIS URGES ZAMFARA MEDIA AID TO WITHDRAW HIS STATEMENT ON KILLING THEIR MEMBER 09-03-24
By Sadiq Aminu Jama’atul Izalatul Bidi’a Wa Iqamatus Sunnah Zamfara State Chapter has expresses deep sorrow and condemns the brutal murder of its Chairman, Ulama Council, Gusau Local Government, Sheikh Abubakar Hassan Mada.
The Chairman, JIBWIS, Zamfara State, Alhaji Aliyu Na-Allah Zurmi made the assertion in a statement issued to newsmen in Gusau the state capital.
He said the incident occurred in Mada town, Gusau Local Government Area, on Tuesday, 5th March 2024, at around 4 pm.
According to the statement, the leadership of JIBWIS, including Chairman Alhaji Aliyu Na-Allah Zurmi, joined other mourners to attend the funeral prayer led by Sheikh Abdullahi Salisu Aleru.
Despite the grief, JIBWIS urges its members to desist from taking the law into their hands, emphasizing a commitment to legal actions to expose and prosecute the assailants.
According to the statement, many eye witness in Mada town identified some members of Zamfara State’s Community Protection Guards (CPG) as the culprits, contradicting the official statement from the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Idris Bala.
According to him, JIBWIS confirms the statement made by the CPG Commander, Corneal Yandoto retired, acknowledging the involvement of his men in the tragic incident.
The JIBWIS called on Zamfara governor’s spokes person, Sulaiman Idris Bala to withdraw his statement defending the culprits, adding that, as an Islamic organization, they remind the spokesperson to fear Allah and speak the truth, as he will be held accountable in the hereafter.
He further pointed out that the leadership of the JIBWIS while condemning the statement urged the said spokesperson to stop encroaching into other peoples duty and be wary of delicate issues of this nature.
JIBWIS emphasizes its commitment to ensuring justice is served and therefore appeals to the public not to resort to vigilantism, and extend heartfelt condolences to the family of Sheikh Abubakar Hassan Mada, praying for his soul’s eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.
The State Chairman of the JIBWIS also urge the authorities concern to expedite the investigation, expose the perpetrators, and ensure justice is done to serve as detterent to others.
