NOTORIOUS GANG LEADER KNOWN FOR HIS BOLD ACTS OF VIOLENCE, DOGO GIDE HAS BEEN CONFIRMED DEAD                                                                27-03-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       In a major setback to the activities of infamous bandits in Northern Nigeria, Dogo Gide, the feared leader known for his bold acts of violence, has been confirmed dead.

Reports from our correspondent attached to Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) indicate that Dogo Gide died from gunshot wounds sustained during a clash with troops of Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) in the rugged terrain of Madada forest in Maru local government area on March 12, 2024.

Despite suffering severe injuries, Dogo Gide was reportedly taken to a hospital at Mabera area, Sokoto, Sokoto state, where he eventually passed away.

Sources within the military revealed that Dogo Gide, a long-wanted fugitive for his reign of terror in the region, was buried in Dandalla Village on Sunday March 24, 2024.

Allegedly, a security operative who has since been apprehended and is in custody of security forces rushed Dogo Gide to a medical facility at Mabera area in Sokoto.

The death of Dogo Gide represents a significant triumph for Nigerian security forces, particularly the joint efforts of 1 Division and 8 Division of the Nigerian Army. Their coordinated operation aimed at rescuing abducted Kuriga Pupils from Kaduna state, held captive in Zamfara state, led to the encounter with Dogo Gide and his associates in Madada, Kuyambana, and Malekete areas.

Dogo Gide’s criminal history includes ties to ANSARU and other prominent terrorist organizations, with claims of responsibility for grave acts such as bringing down a military helicopter in the Dansadau-Birmin Gwari area and kidnapping students from Federal Government College Yauri.

It’s noteworthy that Dogo Gide’s reputation extends to eliminating the notorious bandit leader widely known as BUHARIN DAJI in Zamfara state, cementing his position as a feared figure in the region.

With his demise, authorities aim to deliver a significant blow to the operations of criminal elements plaguing Northern Nigeria.

Africa 247 recalled that Dogo Gide has claimed several abduction of students from schools that include Kagara students, Federal Government College Birnin Yauri, Federal University Gusau Female students and recently the Kuriga Pupils in Kaduna.

Dogo Gide also claims responsibility of Gunning down a Military helicopter around Birnin Gwari axis in Kaduna state several other criminal activities he bragged to have mastered.
