PDP SWEEPS BAYELSA LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL ELECTIONS                                                                08-04-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has clinched all the eight Local Government Council Chairmanship seats and councillorship positions for the one hundred and five wards in last Saturday’s Council Elections.

This was as declared by the Bayelsa State Independent Electoral Commission, BYSIEC.

In Yenagoa LGA, Mr. Bulodisiye Ndiwari was declared winner after polling 56,103 votes, as announced by returning officer Chief Wisdom Soreh, while in Brass Local Government Area, Mr Febo Lucky emerged victorious.

Dr. Tams Deiduomo, returning officer for Ogbia Local Government Area, declared Mr Golden Jeremiah winner with 42,462 votes.

The immediate past Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Chief David Alagoa, was announced winner with 11,829 votes, as declared by returning officer Professor Festus Akpotohwo.

The returning officer for Southern Ijaw LGA, Dr. Ebi Stanley-Udisi, declared Target Segibo as the winner after scoring 36,326 votes.

In Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA, Mr Lelei Tariye won with 27,823 votes as declared by the returning officer, Professor Apuega Arikawei.

Similarly, Mr. Onniye Isaac, was returned winner in Ekeremor LGA after garnering 35,177 votes, by the returning officer, Professor Joseph Omoro.

In the same vein, the returning officer for Sagbama Local Government Area, Professor Abiodun Adelegan, announced
Mrs. Alice Allen-Tangi as winner after gathering 51,543 votes.
