POLICE ASSURES MAXIMUM SECURITY DURING, AFTER SALLAH CELEBRATIONS                                                                                                         08-04-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                        The Kano State Police Command has reassured it’s readiness to ensuring adequate security of lives and properties of the citizenry before, during and after the Sallah Celebrations.

The Commissioner of Police CP Mohammad Hussein Gumel disclosed this during a stakeholders meeting with the traditional rulers, ulama’s and other related stakeholders with a view to ensuring maximum security.

He said all the security sister agencies would be part of the security architecture in all nooks and crannies of the citizenry geared towards ensuring a crime free Sallah Celebrations.

CP Mohammad Hussein Gumel noted that the command had already gathered all the needed security intelligence reports, hence the need to Act accordingly with the aim of ensuring peace.

He called on traditional rulers and the Ulama’s to collaborate efforts with the security, stressing that Kano State has been enjoying peace due to synergy that exists between the public and the security.

” We have mapped out strategies of enhancing security, and we are optimistic that your advice and suggestions would go along way in ensuring that we witnessed a crime free Sallah Celebrations”

In their separate remarks the representatives of the Emirs of Bichi and Gaya Alhaji Nura Ahmed madakin Bichi and Alhaji Bashir Albasu, makaman Gaya lauded the efforts and commitment of Kano police command for remaining steadfast in curtailing criminal activities in the state .

” This meeting is very timely, because issue of security is the responsibility of all, hence we need to collaborate efforts to ensuring maximum security of lives and properties.
