NEWBORN BABY DROWNS IN KANO WELL. 24-04-24
By Sadiq Aminu Tradegy struck as newborn baby drowns in a well at Ruguzau in Takai Local Government Area in Kano.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi.
According to him the agency received an emergency call at about 02:14 p.m. from one Sabo Ladan that a baby’s body is found floating in a well.
He pointed out that a rescue team was immediately mobilized to the scene at about 02:18 p.m.
“On arrival our men found a newborn baby throw into a well by an unknown person”
Abdullahi said the baby was brought out of the well unconscious and latter confirmed dead.
He maintained, that the corpse was handed over to Ward Head of Ruguzau village, Alhaji.
The Public Relations Officer said that cause of incident is under investigation.
