NITDA DONATES COMPUTERS TO KANO HISBAH                                                                                       02-05-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                               The National Information Technology Development Agency NITDA has donated computers to the Kano state Hisbah board.

The commander general Kano state hisbah board Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa disclosed this during a meeting with the 44 local government hisbah commanders.

According to him, NITDA has handed over 15 laptops, servers, solar panels, generators and other relevant materials to the board as part of its intervention.

The commander-general stressed that the equipment would be used to upgrade the Hisbah ICT unit for prorecord-keeping and documentation according to global standards.

Sheikh Daurawa explained that other activities to upgrade the hisbah include the establishment of the hisbah academy, legal unit, amendment of hisbah law, and staff and management training among others.

He cautioned local government commanders against sacking or employing staff without the knowledge of the hisbah headquarters.

The commander hinted that preparations were in top gear to upgrade or set up Hisbah in other states like Jigawa, Katsina, Zamfara, Bauchi, Kaduna, Yobe, Maiduguri, and Adamawa among others.

Sheikh Daurawa advised the staff of the agency to redouble their efforts in discharging their responsibilities to achieve the desired objectives.

Africa 247 reports that others who spoke during the meeting include the deputy commander general Sheikh Mujahid Aminudeen Abubakar and the deputy commander general women’s wing Dr. Khadijah Sagir Sulaiman.
