Emir Sanusi assumes office ,conducts first palace sitting
Barely 24 hours after receiving letter of appointment as the 16th Emir of Kano ,Emir Mohammad Sanusi conducts first palace sitting .
The Emir who dressed in a colourful traditional attire rode a horse from the inner Emirs residence to the main palace at Kofar kudu to commence his first official engagement.
The Emir was received at the palace by senior councellors of the palace ,and move straight and sat down on the executive throne chair.
As the tradition of the palace entails, all the district heads and traditional tittle holder line up and pay homage to the emir .
Hundreds of well wishers trooped to the palace to have a glimpse of the reinstated emir
