By Sadiq Aminu                                                               Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital and its environs are relatively calm and peaceful this morning despite the planned protests slated to commence today nationwide.

Africa 247 Correspondent who went round the metropolis reports that people are going about their normal businesses freely using various means of transportation such as Okada and Keke tricycle.

However, the downpour this morning has slowed down the movement of residents.

In some streets and major roads visited by Africa 247, Banking activities are ongoing while petty traders including sellers of Beans cake also known as Akara are making their brisk businesses selling to people.

Security personnel were also seen in strategic locations to ensure that people go about their normal businesses freely as well maintain law and order in the State.
