By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun has condemn in strong terms, the lawlessness exhibited during the nationwide protest in some LGAs of Yobe State.

The IGP made the disclosure when he paid an operational assignment to assess the security situation and boost the morale of Police officers in the State.

The Police Boss, represented by DIG Bala Chiroma commended Yobe State Command of the Police for its efforts in restoring peace and order.

Reaffirming FG’s commitment on capacity building and equipping the force to address evolving crimes in the country, the IGP emphasized on the need for collaboration and synergy between Police and other security agencies to tackle complex crimes.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Garba Ahmed expressed gratitude for the visit and commended the IGP’s support.

He assured the I.G of sustained efforts in tackling security challenges and maintaining peace in the state.

The Police entourage met with Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni at the Government House.

The Governor thanked the IGP and CP Ahmed for their efforts in restoring peace and ensuring security during the protest.

The CP appealed to all Nigerians to have confidence in the Police, stating that “Together, we can make Yobe State a peaceful and better place for businesses and agricultural activities to thrive.
