Kiyawa said the suspects poisoned Dahiru, stabbed him to death, and disposed of his body in an uncompleted building nearby.

“Their motive was to acquire Dahiru’s landed property, as Aliyu was in possession of the land documents.”

He said Further investigation led to the arrest of Mubarak, who revealed that upon learning of Aliyu’s arrest, he and Sadiq Sunusi conspired to burn Dahiru’s body with petrol to destroy evidence.

The body was recovered and sent to Murtala Mohammed Specialists Hospital Kano for autopsy.

The three suspects are currently undergoing investigation at the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Homicide Section, and will be charged to court for prosecution.
