KBSG CONSTITUTES PANEL OF ENQUIRY OVER STUDENTS PROTEST                                                                                                     18-10-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                               The Kebbi State Government, has constituted a panel of enquiry of nine members on the recent protest by the students of College of Health Sciences and Technology Jega.

The panel to be headed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Hussaini Abdullahi Zuru, is to identify the courses of the students riot, gang leaders, Lecturers and external forces involved as well the estimated level of damage.

The State Commissioner for Higher Education, Isa Abubakar Tungu, who constituted the panel, directed that it should report its findings and recommendations within two weeks as the college remain closed until the outcome of the panel.

The Chairman of the panel, Hussaini Abdullahi Zuru, assured the panel committment to do justice to all matters involved.

Students of the college on Thursday protested against the college Provost alleging him of extortion and set his residence on fire and damaged his vehicle.
