NIGERIAN AIRFORCE LOSES FIVE OF PERSONNEL TO ROAD CRASH                                                                                                 23-10-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                   The Nigerian Airforce says five of its personnel have died due to road traffic accident around Hawan Kibo, along the Jos-Akwanga express road on the 22nd of this month.

A statement by the Director, Public Relations and Information of the Force, Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa says the personnel were heading for a sporting event in Abuja, when their vehicle was involved in a collision with an oncoming truck.

Consequently, statutory administrative protocols applicable in circumstances as this have been activated by the NAF to provide comfort and succour to the bereaved families.

While praying for the repose of their souls, the statement appeals to the public to respect the privacy of the victims’ families during this difficult time and to refrain from sharing unverified details.

It adds that further updates will be communicated in due course.
