MINISTER ATA VOWS TO TACKLE DELAYS IN LAMBU HOUSING ESTATE PROJECT                                                                                       11-10-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                   The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Rt. Hon. Yusif Abdullahi Ata, inspected the 300-unit Lambu Housing Estate in Tofa Local Area, expressing concerns over significant delays.

Ata disclosed this when he paid an inspection visit to the Site, in Kano.

He cited inaccessible roads and substandard construction materials as major issues.

“Kano is my top priority in actualizing President Bola Ahmed’s vision of addressing housing deficits,” he stated.

Construction Supervising Officer Mallam Umar attributed delays to damp soil during the rainy season, assuring that work is progressing smoothly.

The Minister has pledged to summon the contractor for debriefing, emphasizing that only Katsina and Sokoto states have made notable progress in the Tinubu-led government’s affordable housing initiative.
