By Sadiq Aminu                                                               Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and those of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Turkiye, Indonesia and Palestine are to, on behalf of all member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the League of Arab States, to initiate an international action to stop the war on Gaza.

The Foreign Ministers were given the mandate by last year’s inconclusive Arab-Islamic Summit, which held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In another development, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar yesterday held a bilateral meeting with his Saudi Arabian counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, ahead of today’s extraordinary session of the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit.
