NSCDC NABS 22-YEAR-OLD SUSPECTED CABLE VANDALIZED IN KWARA STATE                                                                                                14-12-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                  Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested 22-year-old Idris Kayode, a private security guard attached to the University of Ilorin, over alleged vandalization of armoured cables.

Parading the suspect the state commandant of the NSCDC, Umar Muhammed said the cable vandalised by the suspect were used to power streetlights within the university community.

According to him the suspect was apprehended at midnight by local vigilantes who caught him red-handed vandalizing the armoured cables.

Commandant Umar said the suspect was promptly handed over to the NSCDC for further investigation.

He said the suspect would be charged to court for prosecution as soon as investigations are concluded.
