FRSC APPEALS TO MOTORISTS ESPECIALLY COMMERCIAL DRIVERS TO KEEP TO STIPULATED SPEED LIMIT                                                                                                          22-12-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 The Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC has appealed to motorists especially commercial drivers to keep to stipulated speed limit and avoid reckless driving that can hinder Free flow of traffic.

The Corps Marshal of FRSC Mallam Shehu Mohammed while monitoring traffic situation along Gwagwalada – Abaji – Lokoja highway said the corps had deployed adequate logistics and increased its visibility on the roads across the country to check the excesses of motorists during the ongoing end of the year patrol.

Mallam Shehu Mohammed noted that the Corps is laying emphasis on sensitization and strict enforcement of traffic laws to ensure that all travellers get to their destination safely.

He expressed concern about road side commercial activities at Giri junction and Wazobia Park in Gwagwalada hindering free flow of traffic stressing the need for the concern authorities to do the needful.

He emphasized the need for motorists to drive with caution at the segment of the road under going construction and rehabilitation

The FRSC Boss told the personnel on the corridors to be at alert knowing that the volume of traffic was high and report to the appropriate quarter for more logistics support Incase of emergency.

Correspondent reports that the special monitoring provides opportunity for the Corps Marshal to access the performance of personnel during the Operation Zero Tolerance to Traffic Crashes.
