KWARA RESIDENTS WARNED AGAINST INDISCRIMINATE DUMPING OF REFUSE                                                                              02-01-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                    Residents of Kwara State have been warned against indiscriminate dumping of refuse to prevent outbreak of diseases.

The state Commissioner for Environment, Hajiya Nafisat Musa- Buge, gave the warning when she received the report of Environmental Health Officers Taskforce, after an enforcement exercise,in Ilorin .

She said the state has been rated high among its peers, for its untiring efforts at eradicating indiscriminate dumping of refuse and sustaining a neat and safe environment .

Hajiya Musa- Buge explained that those apprehended over violation of environmental laws would be arraigned before the Court for prosecution.

She expressed confidence that the present administrations unwavering support to the Ministry would help in sustaining a clean, safe and healthy environment for all.

Hajiya Musa -Buge also commended the Environmental Health Taskforce officials for their sustained vigilance and commitments towards eradicating indiscriminate dumping of refuse in the state.

The Commissioner appealed to the general public to join hands with the present administration, in its efforts towards ensuring a cleaner and safer environment.
