By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 The Acting Director General, Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Captain Chris Najomo, has called on all stakeholders, including NCAA staff, to maintain the highest safety standards of excellence in the new year.

In his New Year’s message to staff, in Lagos, delivered by the Director of Operations, Licensing and Training, Captain Donald Spiff, Captain Najomo commended staff for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the NCAA’s mission.

He emphasized the importance of continued dedication, collaboration, and adherence to the high standards that define the authority.

Najomo warned, “Laxity will not be tolerated. We must work together to build upon the 25 years of achievements and pave the way for a brighter future for Nigerian aviation.”

The Acting Director General NCAA highlighted the significant growth of the NCAA over the past 25 years, noting that the authority has set regulatory benchmarks, fostered innovation, and earned the trust of stakeholders and the global aviation community.

“2024 was a year of resilience, innovation, and teamwork”.

He pointed to notable achievements such as staff promotions, the expansion of the organogram, and the successful clearance of relocation and housing arrears.

As the NCAA celebrates its silver jubilee, Captain Najomo emphasized that it is an opportunity to reflect on the authority’s legacy and recommit to its vision of ensuring safe, secure, and efficient air transport in Nigeria.

Highlight of the event was the unveiling of the logo to mark its 25th anniversary.
