50TH ANNIVERSARY: UNILORIN TO ACTUALISE STRATEGIC PLANS                                                                                                   13-01-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                               The Vice Chancellor University of Ilorin, Professor Wahab Egbewole SAN, says the management is working hard to ensure the actualisation of the institution strategic plan to take it to greater height.

Professor Egbewole SAN, stated this while speaking with newsmen shortly after unveiling the University logo ahead of its 50th anniversary celebration at the permanent site in Ilorin.

He said the 2024 to 2028 strategic plan is a work in progress to place the university on the right pedestal.

The Vice Chancellor explained that the university want to push to the next level of research, infrastructure and good community engagement.

He said an Innovation hub and other projects have been put in place to help drive the initiative of the students.

He noted that the university is working hard to put behind its challenges and work towards producing graduates that are employers of labour.

The Vice Chancellor urged members of the alumni association to support the institution towards achieving better growth and development.

In his remarks the Chairman University of Ilorin, 50th anniversary ceremonial committee, Professor Olugbenga Mokuolu said the logo is designed to speak more of the aspirations of the university.

He said about 50 billion naira projects would be inaugurated during the period of the celebrations to showcase some of the achievements of the university.
