FG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO TIMELY COMPLETION OF KANO RENEWED HOPE CITIES                                                                                           08-03-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                     The Federal Government has reassured its commitment to ensuring the timely completion of the Kano Renewed Hope Cities project.

The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, disclosed this known during an inspection tour of the project site in Lambu, Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State.

Accompanied by the State Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Alhaji Yusuf Abdullahi Atah, Dangiwa charged contractors to intensify efforts and ensure quality work to achieve the set objectives.

He expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done so far but urged contractors to be more dedicated.

The Renewed Hope City in Kano will feature:100 units of 1-bedroom semi-detached bungalows,300 units of 2-bedroom semi-detached bungalows and 100 units of 3-bedroom semi-detached bungalows

The Minister noted that the units are designed with affordability and future expansion in mind, allowing homeowners to enlarge their living spaces as their incomes improve.

Dangiwa emphasized the importance of adhering to quality standards and timely completion, urging developers and contractors to build according to specifications and deliver quality work within three to six months.

He warned that substandard work would not be tolerated.

The State Minister, Alhaji Yusuf Abdullahi Atah, also reiterated the government’s commitment to quality, stating that substandard work would not be accepted.

“This project is part of the Federal Government’s efforts to address the housing deficit in the country.”

He added that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has been working tirelessly to ensure the timely completion of the project, which is expected to provide affordable housing units to low- and medium-income earners in Kano State.
