By Sadiq Aminu                                                      The Nigeria Police, Kebbi State Command, has assured the general public of it’s unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in discharging it’s duties.

The State Commissioner of Police, Bello Muhammad Sani, gave the assurance during which three police Officers were directed to be arrested and detained following a foul play surrounding the circumstances of the death of a suspect Abubakar Auwal while in detention.

In a statement by the Command’s image maker, SP Nafiu Abubakar,
said the officers are currently detained at the State CID for further investigation and disciplinary action, while the DPO Jega Division has been queried and transferred with immediate effect.

The statement said, wrong actions of few Officers do not reflect the values of the Nigeria Police as prompt and disciplinary measures are always taken against the erring Officers to ensure accountability and justice.

It’s said, the Nigeria Police remains dedicated to maintaining discipline, protecting the integrity of it’s operations and fostering the trust and confidence of the people it serves.
