GOVERNOR YUSUF FLAGS OFF ZENGERU ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT                                                                        28-05-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                        The Kano State Government has flagged off the reconstruction of Zengeru road, a project that is part of the present administration’s strong commitment to improving the state’s transport sector and ensuring the viability of the economy.

Speaking during the Flagg Off ceremony,Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf said the project is expected to drive economic growth, foster lively commercial activities, reduce carbon emissions, alleviate traffic congestion, and enhance traffic flow.

He emphasized that the government’s focus and constitutional responsibilities remain steeped in the provision of critical infrastructure and basic amenities that ensure a high quality of life for all citizens of Kano State.

“This moment marks not just the realization of hard work and dedication but also a reaffirmation of our commitment to all of you that are residing within the Sabon gari area.”

The Governor highlighted the benefits of the project, including reduced traffic congestion, lower vehicle operation and maintenance costs, and minimized noise and environmental pollution.

He noted that the project is part of the government’s efforts to transform Kano City into a dynamic and welcoming environment for both residents and visitors.

Governor Yusuf acknowledged the importance of taxpayers’ contributions in making the project possible.

He urged the citizens to reciprocate the government’s efforts by paying their taxes in a timely manner, saying, “Each Naira they have paid as tax is a testament to their contributions to progress and a brighter future for our children and even grandchildren.”

The Governor emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation in achieving progress.

“Let us take inspiration from this unity we have shown through this journey. When we came together, we can achieve remarkable things together.”

He thanked the citizens for their continued support, dedication, and belief in the government’s shared vision.
